WELCOME TO OUR 2010-2011 SEASON

Plan on stopping by the studio to meet our instructors and register for classes at any of our 2010 open house dates, listed below. All open houses are 5-8 p.m.

• Wednesday, September 1

JDC offers classes for all ages and creative styles. We teach tap, jazz, ballet, pointe, lyrical, hip-hop, character and acro.

Classes are anywhere from a half-hour to hour in length and taught by caring, qualified instructors. For more information, visit our "About Us" page.

We're open Monday through Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings, with occasional preschool classes on weekday mornings. (Visit our open houses for this year's schedule.)

We are offering some new competition classes this year, including a pre-competition class for 4-5 year olds, so if your dancer is interested in joining our competiton team, please let us know.

EVERYONE'S A STAR AT THE SARATOGA COUNTY FAIR

Joanne's Dance Center wowed the crowds every evening at the Saratoga County Fair!

JDC AT THE GREAT ESCAPE

Joanne's Dance Center provided some fabulous entertainment on the Looney Tunes stage on Saturday, July 17. Fun, fun, fun!

We teach age-appropriate classes in tap, jazz, ballet, pointe, lyrical, character, hip-hop and acrobatics.

JDC trains several competition teams and offers adult classes, too.

RECITAL 2010 - "WORKIN' FOR A LIVIN'"

Our recitals were held Friday, June 18 at 5:30 p.m. and Saturday, June 19 at 4:00 p.m. at the Ballston Spa High School auditorium. This year's theme was "Workin' For a Livin'". Both shows were a huge success!

Thanks to all our teachers, dancers, parents, volunteers, families and friends. We'll see you back in the fall. (But don't forget to check out our summer classes...

JDC WINS INTERNATIONAL DANCE CHALLENGE

JDC's senior small group "Wild Wild Party" was the Senior Division's Ultimate Challenge Champion at the 2010 IDC competition, held at the Palace Theater in Albany on Saturday and Sunday, April 24-25.

Our senior line group "Workin' For A Livin'" took 2nd place overall and won the Senior Entertainment Challenge.

In the Junior Division, JDC's small group "Heartbeat Drumbeat" also took 2nd place overall and won the Junior Entertainment Challenge.

JDC AT DANCE AMERICA

Rght on the heels of an intense Starquest competition, JDC dancers traveled to the Palace Theater once again to compete at Dance America on March 27.

JDC WOWS THE CROWD AT STARQUEST

After a very successful NYCDA competition, JDC dancers competed Thursday, March 18 through Sunday, March 21 at the Starquest 2010 at the Palace Theater in Albany.

Once again, JDC demonstrated great technique, showmanship and sportsmanship, all while having tons of fun!

JDC OPENS 2010 COMPETITION SEASON AT NYCDA

JDC dancers opened their competition season by traveling to Buffalo on March 6-7 and competing at NYCDA
(New York City Dance Alliance).

After a full day of tap, jazz, ballet, and contemporary workshops, the dancers competed Saturday evening. JDC took some top awards!

JDC AT STARBOUND DANCE COMPETITION

Thanks to your support, JDC donated over...

$2,600

for breast cancer research at the Starbound Dance Competition held Sunday, October 25 in Nutley, NJ.

As if that wasn't exciting enough, JDC managed to bring home a truckload of trophies, plaques and top-place honors!

JDC HAYRIDE AND BONFIRE

Lots of fun was had at our 2009 hayride and bonfire. It was a crisp, clear evening--perfect for cider, donuts and a blazing fire!
